In-Style Looks For 2010

Tagged Under : , , ,

Fashion is never an easy thing to put your finger on; how do you know what’s in style and what’s not? Most of the time, people will just go with whatever trends are spearheaded by the major highstreet chains, such as River Island and Topshop. Whilst it can be tough to stay away from out-of-style clothing, it’s even tougher if you’re trying to push your own sense of style over the summer months.

So with that in mind, here are two or three hot looks for the summer that should set you apart.

There seems to be a big trend, particularly amongst catwalks, models and designers, for sports-orientated fashion this summer.
The sports look isn’t the only one in style either; both the tomboy and the casual look are on their way in, so it will be these three we’re going to look at.

Combining the three trends seems like a popular theme, so flip flops seem like an excellent choice. You should get coloured flip flops that compliment your outfit, then combine them with something casual but feminine (cut off denim jeans could work) and you’re bang on style for the summer.
You should go for branded flip flops rather that cheaper generic ones; this will add to the look and trust me, they’ll last you far longer. Billabong have a extremely strong collection of stylish pairs, start with them, Roxy or Animal and you can’t go wrong.

The tomboy look is extremely in-style this summer; particularly when it’s mixed with some ultra-feminine elements. Try crop-tops with football-esque shoulders, skate shoes or high heels (depending on your preference) and shorts, preferably with your hair up.

The sports look is another hot look this season, with the two most prominent looks centering around cricket and golf. Go for sports stripes and classic sports colours; cricket tops are great for achieving the sports look whilst still showing enough flesh and curves to look ultra-feminine.
