Learn The Skills Of Negotiation

Tagged Under : , ,

Regardless of whether you are purchasing a home, disputing a utility bill, or haggling over a tote bag at a personal boutique, there are basic principles to the art of negotiation. Even though you may feel uneasy negotiating, you will build your confidence the more often you do it. The most skilled negotiators face uncomfortable situations while making deals, but they know how to remain in control even when feelings of discomfort arise. Here you will find a few tips to help your negotiating strategy.

When negotiating on behalf of a client you may have, consider having a written agreement. In this agreement, you will include what goal negotiated price is acceptable. This will help secure your interests and protect your reputation.

If you are negotiating a salary, ask yourself how much your skill and talents are worth? Are you unique in your ability to figure out how to get rid of acne, or are there a number of other people who swear they can work magic? How much are people in your field, in similar positions, earning? Know these figures when you are ready to negotiate. This will help you recognize a reasonable offer.

Maybe you are negotiating for that expensive brown boot at the discount shop in your area. Begin negotiations a little below what you actually want to pay. This will give you room for negotiations in the event that the seller does not agree to your first price. Have confidence in yourself and remember the worst thing that can happen is that they can say ‘no’.

In a credit card world, most people still prefer cash. This eliminates service fees they may be charged each time they ring up a credit card. So being able to pay up front in cash may help your case.

Much like any other price hunt you go on, shopping around can also help. Knowing how much the competition is selling that living room set for, or car, or mortgage rate can help you negotiate down on price. Bring the circular ad that has the price in case you need to use it.

If you have a few facts you want to keep in order to close the deal, do so. These facts can help close the deal when you feel like you are making progress and only need a little extra push to close the deal. It is also important to know when to walk away from a negotiation that you are not making any progress on. Clarify your offer, and ask that you are contacted in case there is any change in decision when their terms/price simply to not meet your needs.

Finding Just The Right Gift

Tagged Under : , ,

There is almost always someone on our Christmas list that seems impossible to buy a gift for. This helpful guide will give some ideas for even the pickiest person on the list, so pay close attention, and feel free to browse the Internet for similar ideas, or create one of your own based on these handy hints.

First, we will discuss parents or expectant parents. The best idea is an imaginative gift, and, unless they already have had the baby or know what it will be, purchase something that is gender-neutral. Cocalo baby bedding and similar products are a great idea, because they are very modern and fashionable. The price is not over the top, about average for that type of item. They carry nursery decorations, clothing, bedding, and even environmentally safe items. There is a lot to choose from, so you cannot really go wrong with this type of gift.

As with all females, teenaged young ladies are much simpler to discover gifts for, derived from what they like or more common gifts that interest most ladies. Rather than choosing a gift that is very girly and intended for young girls (ages eight to twelve), opt for presents that are more appealing to women. This typically includes fragrances (not just the expensive ones, body sprays and mists are very popular), makeup (if she wears it), jewelry (keep it simple!), gift cards to any trendy clothes or footwear store, and eatery gift certificates.

Young boys ranging from about seven until eleven are often the hardest to buy for, not because there is a lack of items, but because there are so many to choose from. Popular ideas include transformers megatron or Optimus Prime, Bakugan products and toys, many trading card-related items, books that feature popular icons like Harry Potter, and video games geared for a younger age group.

Lastly, those that are conscientious about weight or health can seem impossible to find a great gift for, because there are too many items that they will not or cannot use for a variety of reasons. Instead of products that will get ruined or never used, choose those that tone muscle quickly, enhance weight loss efforts, eliminate cellulite or wrinkles, or are just all-encompassing weight loss supplements. More than likely, the best idea, unless you know what you are doing, is a gift certificate. Choose from health clubs, resorts, popular health stores or chains, and even fitness centers. Again, simple is normally best, unless they have requested a particular item or product.

Choosing a great gift does not have to be unbearable, and it should not cost a fortune to find a great gift that your intended recipient would love. The smartest idea is to charm options from them all the way through the year.

The best kept secret to discovering the perfect present is actually a great guess in most cases. If you watch how someone dresses, pay attention to the people they are friends with, and are not afraid to ask when in doubt, you will find ideas when you least expect it. Hints are great, and you do not have to tell what you are doing before you actually do it if you understand hint lingo.

How To Pick Swimwear For An Apple

How does an “Apple” pick the perfect swimsuit? I’m sure you know we don’t mean a fruit. An Apple is one of the common body types. How do you know if you’re an Apple? Your bust and hip measurements are the answer. If your bust is 3″ or greater than your hips, you’ve got the Apple shape.

To look like an hourglass, what kind of swimsuits should you buy? Finding one that will de-emphasize your bust and draw the eyes down to your lower half, that would work. Cup size is another important area to take into account. In most cases, Apple shapes have larger breasts sizes…C cup, D cup and larger is the norm. So the bikini top must provide both ample support and draw attention away. It sounds hard to accomplish. However, it’s not that hard if you know what to look for.

Underwire and Halter tops are the way to go for the Apple shape. For larger busts, they are the answer for both shape and support. Either remove the padding or purchase Underwire tops without them. You don’t want to appear even larger than you are. This will have the opposite effect that you don’t want. There is a special style of Halter called a Banded Halter. This style has a wide fabric “band” going all around under the bust which adds more support than the typical Halter top. Also, de-emphasize by choosing dark solid colors.

Choosing embellishments and lots of fabric on the bottom will help to draw the eyes down there. When we mean fabric, we’re talking about avoiding the tiny string bikinis. Believe it or not, string bikini bottoms actually make your hips look slimmer. Curvier hips are what the Apple shape should look for. Hipster bottoms are better at creating that effect. Make color choices that are bright. Solid and patterns are both great (patterned bottoms and colored tops are one of the best choices). And if you can find bottoms with ruffles, ruching, shirring, rhinestones, beads, metal rings, etc…all the better.

There’s no need to be afraid of choosing swimsuits that look hot.  Whether it’s on the beach, at the pool, or anyplace else, you need to feel great and look confident in your sexy swimwear.
